How does the bail bond process work?
You pay a non-refundable fee (considerably less than the Bond set by the Judge), and we post the bond to get the defendant released from jail. The defendant must attend all court dates.
What information do you need from me to get started?
Full name of the defendant, jail location, booking number (if available), charges, and bail amount if the bond is already set. Also, your personal ID if you’re co-signing.
How quickly can you get the person released from jail?
It usually takes 1 to 6 hours after the bond is posted with the jail, but it depends on the jail’s processing time.
If the person was just arrested and no bond has been set, can I go ahead and start the process to help get the person out quicker.
Absolutely! This is a great idea. Call our office and start the bond agreement so everything is ready by the time the bond is set. No need to go to our bond office at this moment. We can start this process over the phone.
What are my responsibilities as the co-signer (indemnitor)?
You’re responsible for making sure the defendant appears in court. If they fail to appear, you may owe the full bail amount and any recovery costs.
What happens if the defendant misses a court date?
The bond is forfeited. We’ll try to locate the defendant, and you could be responsible for the full bail and fees.
Will I be responsible for the full bail amount if something goes wrong?
Yes. If the defendant flees or violates terms, you’re financially liable.
Are you licensed to operate in this state?
Yes. We are licensed and regulated by the state’s Department of Insurance or equivalent agency.
How long have you been in business?
Over 20 years, and we have experience with a wide range of charges and court systems.
Do you handle all types of charges or only certain ones?
We handle most charges except for serious federal or immigration-related offenses, which require special bonds.
What restrictions or conditions might be placed on the defendant after release?
The court may impose conditions such as travel restrictions, no contact orders, or check-ins. We may also require regular check-ins or monitoring. It’s a case by case basis but your bondsman should explain to you and put it in writing.
What happens after the case is resolved—do I get any money or collateral back?
Yes. If you provided collateral, it’s returned once the case is resolved and all conditions are met. The bond fee is still non-refundable.
